Campaign India Digital Crest Awards

Campaign India has announced the launch of the Campaign India Film Crest Awards (CIFCA), in partnership with the Association of Advertising Producers (ASAP).

The awards will recognise and reward ad and corporate films created first aired or released between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024. Entries for the same are open Feb 20 onwards. The entry process will go on till April 1, 2024.

The second edition is set to be hosted in Mumbai in April 2024.

Advertising agencies, production houses, clients and other organisations involved in the creation of films targeted at Indian audiences are eligible to enter CIFCA 2023.

The jury will comprise adlanders alongside experts from different facets of filmmaking.

Categories

Production

1: Animation/Mix Media/Stop motion/Motion Graphics
The aesthetics of the animation in a film, which includes all types of animation, including cell, stop-motion, graphic, silhouette and computer animation in 2D OR 3D.

2: Best animation Film (Director & Producer)
Best integration and use of animation in the most aesthetic and memorable form.

3: Production Design/Art Direction
The aesthetic of the production design/art direction, which includes set design and location builds, overall look, feel and the atmosphere of the piece and the enhancement of the narrative by the artful management of the visual components.

4. Casting & Performance
The vision and achievement of the casting, which includes pre-production selection of actors, dancers, singers, models, non-professionals, animals and other talent & their most appropriate use and performance in the film.

5. Best use of celebrity in the film
Performance and use of a celebrity in the film,the vision and achievement of using the particular celebrity for the brand communication. Best fit for brand.

6. Costume
Awarded for the best use of costumes, and the costume design & aesthetics

7. Make-up & Hair
Awarded for the best make-up design & hair.

8. Prosthetics
Awarded for the best special effects make-up.

9. Cinematography
The quality and effect of the cinematography, which includes style, artistic choices, camerawork, cinematic techniques, shoot composition, lighting and other effects.

Post Production

1. Editing
The technical and creative success of the edit, which includes timing, pace, visual dynamics, dialogue dynamics, sound integration and overall storytelling.

2. Grading
The overall achievement in colour correction and grading to create a consistent and stylised colour scheme, which evokes a specific emotion and transforms the final look of the film.

3. Visual Effects/CGI
This looks at the role of visual effects and computer generated imagery in the final film. This includes the aesthetic and technical excellence of the effects themselves along with the success of their integration into real footage.

Music

1. Sound Design
The creative use of sound design in the ad film, which includes technical excellence in recording, mixing and the synthesis of samples and sound effect, along with the cohesion of the edit and its impact on the overall piece.

2. Original Score / Jingle
The impact and success of music compositions, created specifically for the advertisement being judged. The achievement of the track itself will be considered, along with its contribution to the piece as a whole.

3: Adapted Jingle
Soundtracks adapted for an advertisement will be judged here.

Best Direction

Awarded for best screenplay for the most appropriate communication for the given script, memorability and recollection of the film, actors used and their endearing performances. And the most most interesting product integration and Brand communication

Entry Guidelines

Who should enter?

Advertising agencies, production houses, clients and other organisations involved in the creation of films targeted at Indian audiences are eligible to enter CIFCA 2024.

Eligibility period

Campaigns launched or current during the period from 1st March 2023 to 29th February 2024 are eligible to enter the 2024 awards.

Entries open: 20 February 2024
Submission deadline: 1 April 2024
Entry fees

From 20 February 2024 to 1 March 2024: Rs. 6,500 per entry + GST (ASAP Members)
Rs. 8,500 per entry + GST (Non ASAP members)

From 2 March 2024 to 1 April 2024: Rs. 7,500 per entry + GST (ASAP Members)
Rs. 9,500 per entry + GST (Non ASAP Members)

Each entry must include the following to be considered complete:
  •   Completed online entry form
  •   Supporting material on the microsite/landing page
  •  Total payment for all entries to be completed before 1 April 2024
